The first meeting

The first meeting

In order to create a beautiful and personal farewell ceremony, we need to get to know our clients and also learn as much as we can about what they have decided to part with.

At our first meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and wishes with us, so that we can get a better understanding of the object of the farewell. Together, we will then create a personal farewell that will help you, as closely affected, to move forward.

Some things to consider before the meeting

There are many ways to conduct a farewell ceremony. Therefore, it may be a good idea to think ahead about the questions we will discuss during the meeting. We recommend that everyone writes a farewell letter as preparation for the meeting. Learn more about how to write a farewell letter here >

Of course, you do not need to have all the answers before our first meeting. Together, we will plan the farewell ceremony step by step.

  • Where do you want the ceremony to be held? In a special venue or maybe outdoors?
  • Do you have any special requests for flowers, decorations, music, or speeches during the ceremony?
  • Do you want the farewell to be held only with close family and friends or with a larger group of people?
  • Are there any guests who won’t be able to attend the ceremony? Would you like us, the Farewell Bureau, to investigate the possibility of live streaming it?
  • Would you like to have an advertisement on our website and/or our Facebook page?
  • Do you want to have a memorial gathering after the farewell ceremony? Is there a specific location you would like it to be held and what would you like to serve?
