Grief & Care

Grief & Care

Grief and care are closely linked. Farewell ceremonies can help us open a door of sorrow through which we can move forward and gather strength to provide for the world around us.

DOES GRIEF MATTER?

A way forward

The importance of grief for moving forward in life cannot be underestimated. Through the door of sorrow we have the opportunity to move on in the direction of new, yet unknown opportunities.

HELP WITH GRIEF PROCESSING

Do I need to learn to grieve?

When we lose something, or feel that something is about to be lost, we can suffer from severe grief, a feeling that completely changes everything – difficult, strong and in many ways impossible to describe.

Some people go through the grief process without difficulty, others may need both help and support.

WHEN IS SOMETHING OBSOLETE?

How do I know?

It can feel both strange and strange to decide to say an irrevocable goodbye to a thing, a thought pattern or perhaps an institution.

And since formal farewell ceremonies are rare in our time, it is also impossible to rely on traditions. However, it is easy to understand why a proper ending may be needed to make it possible to move forward in life. But there may also be more elusive reasons that require a lot of thought before the decision to conduct a farewell ceremony can begin to take shape.

For example, it may be about not being able to escape from a sadness over opportunities that have been lost, or about feeling trapped in a behavior that no longer works.

PRESERVING THE MEMORY

Remembering together

How do you honor the memory of something that doesn’t come back? To cherish together the memory of what we have said goodbye to can help.
