Flowers & music

Flowers are much appreciated at farewell ceremonies. They provide something to rest the eyes on while also giving the ceremony a personal touch.

It is common to decorate the podium with various flower arrangements, but it is also possible to place floral displays on the floor next to it. There are many ways to make the decoration personal, for example, with flowers that have a special meaning or connection to the subject of the farewell. You can also choose to let the flowers follow a particular theme, perhaps a specific season or a particular color scheme.

Choose flower decorations in peace and quiet. Remember that there are no special requirements or rules. Choose what feels right for you and for the farewell you are going to take. The selection of flowers and arrangements is vast, and the possibilities are many. Here you can find tips and recommendations.

Music

Few things have a greater impact on shaping a personal farewell than the choice of music.

No matter how you plan to design the ceremony, you have great freedom in the choice of music. During the actual farewell, there is the possibility to have live music, solo singing, choir singing, or recorded music. You can choose songs based on what may be associated with the subject of the farewell, or focus on what fits into different parts of the ceremony.

Instead of music, some may choose to read a poem or make a personal reflection during the farewell ceremony. Of course, the freedom of choice also applies to the memorial service afterwards, but there, too, music can be a very nice addition.
